Absolutely :) this one will actually be getting a triumph 1850 slant 4 in it once i’ve finished my current project (2.5l tr6-engined spitfire).

RV8 will likely be for something else but i'm not sure yet. Triumph ohc 6 might get sold to offset the cost as i've already got a rebuilt 2.5l version...

£1200! I added it up there's at least £2400 of stuff there, plus the cost of a respray...

There is nothing more awesome than getting acknowledged by an older person who recognizes excellent work. It lets me know I’m doing something right.

But slightly less assembly required than my other Spitfire ;)

“but financially probably shouldn’t have.”

I don’t understand this sentence. Is it some foreign language?

Nice! Mk3? Or early MkIV/US 1500? Gauges look like the earlier, nicer looking ones...

I have no idea. I was maybe 3 in this picture, which was taken in maybe 1978. It was my dad’s car; and he’s an asshole, so I won't be calling him to ask.

Well, in that case I hope his trunnions fell of and the swing-axles bit him in the arse ;)

Cool pic though :)
